Founded in August 2005, Inovergo focuses on training the base of the operational pyramid — versatile operators and their direct supervisors — because they are the ones who keep organisations productive and safe.
In the training of self-propelled equipment operators, Inovergo is the only Portuguese company accredited by IFTEM — Instituto de Formación de Técnicos en Manutención (Barcelona), a member of FEM-AEM — which allows it to grant the Certificate of Aptitude for Authorised Operators of Lifting and Transport Machinery, recognised by these organisations and aligned with the standards required across European industry.
Our trainers work exclusively for Inovergo — we employ no occasional freelancers in this field. All hold pedagogical certification and specific training on the various types of equipment, refreshed periodically at IFTEM in Barcelona.
The result for those who invest in this training: better-utilised equipment, fewer accidents involving people or goods, and compliance with the legal duties of occupational risk prevention.
Training takes place in the classroom and at the actual workplace, with demonstration sessions, exercises and practical assessment on the machines and loads your team uses every day. The trainer adjusts classroom and practice time to each group's context.

For individuals and small groups, we regularly run open courses at the SafeMOV Training Centre in Seixal — with real practice on the centre's forklifts, stackers and pallet trucks.
The exclusive IFTEM/Inovergo methodology. Safety in mechanical load handling doesn't depend on the operator alone — six components interact in every manoeuvre, and the programme always works on them as a whole.
Beyond the Operator and the Machine, safety also involves the type and nature of the Loads, the conditions of the manoeuvring area (Surroundings), the type and pace of the Operation, and the Communication between operators and with their supervisors.
We favour Active Pedagogy: the trainee's own activity and experience are the main learning resource, energised by short presentations from the trainer.
The methodology also applies principles of NLP — Neuro-Linguistic Programming to consciously reset the "automatic" habits acquired over years of work — an approach recognised in the occupational safety and health field by Technical Prevention Note 423 of Spain's INSHT.
Passing the theoretical and practical assessment earns the SafeMOV certificate — and, optionally, the IFTEM/FEM-AEM credential.
Issued to trainees who pass the theoretical and practical assessment, it proves training in the safe use of self-propelled work equipment — the qualification required by art. 32 of Decree-Law 50/2005. It comes with the operator card, handy to show day to day.

The Certificate of Aptitude for Safe Driving, issued by IFTEM (Barcelona) and recognised and signed by FEM-AEM, valid for five years. It is the guarantee of training that meets the most demanding standards of European industry — and only Inovergo can grant it in Portugal.
